Position Music is excited to present Jim’s latest album, REVEAL. Featuring 13 tracks of hair-raising music that builds to epic proportions.
Last weekend, Jim participated, with his collaborator Rye Mullis, in the acclaimed Dreamworks/ASCAP Musical Theater Workshop, where songs from his new musical Witch’s Night Out were premiered. The selections were musically directed by Christy Crowl, with performers Brooke deRosa, Susan Boyd Joyce, Randy Crenshaw, Alex Back, Brian Gallagher, Brooke Engen, and Katharine Leonard, and Chandra Lee Schwartz.
The workshop is run by Academy and Grammy Award-winning composer-lyricist Stephen Schwartz, whose credits include hit Broadway shows Wicked, Godspell and Pippin, the Walt Disney films Enchanted, Pocahontas and The Hunchback of Notre Dame and the DreamWorks film The Prince of Egypt.
Jim has written music for the new Magnolia horror film, Satanic, with fellow composer Todd Haberman. The film will be available on iTunes on July 1, and will be playing in limited release in select markets. Check out the trailer here!

A new podcast interview with Jim has been posted online where he talks about what inspires him as a composer, from “Stairway to Heaven” to hearing a unique sound. It runs just over 70-minutes and is well worth your time!
Jim recently completed the score to the new parody film Fifty Shades of Black, by Marlon Wayans and Rick Alvarez. Directed by Michael Tiddes (A Haunted House) the spoof stars Marlon Wayans, Kali Hawk and Jane Seymour. The film, featuring Jim’s music, will be in theaters on January 29, 2016, and you can check out the trailer here:
