James finishes Tears of the Sun collaboration; starts History Channel and ESPN projects
James completes work on Tears of the Sun with Hans Zimmer and begins composing a show for the History Channel about the Louisiana Purchase. A two hour show for ESPN is in the works, dedicated to the ten greatest sporting confrontations in the 20th century.
James to write additional music for Tears of the Sun
James begins writing additional music for the upcoming movie Tears of the Sun starring Bruce Willis. This project will score sometime towards the end of January.

James goes to the Santa Fe film festival where Agua Dulce and Area 52 are playing!
James to perform at Spielberg’s Shoah Foundation Gala
James arranges and performs with Hans Zimmer at Steven Spielberg’s Shoah Foundation Annual Gala. Lisa Gerard, Martin Tillmann, and Heitor Pereira also came to perform for this special celebration on the last day of Chanukah.
James arranges Lennon’s “Imagine” for Amnesty International
James does an arrangement of “Imagine” by John Lennon for Amnesty International. Booker T. , Jim Keltner, Freddy Washington, and Heitor Pereira were the band and over 50 elementary school kids were the choir. This was recorded at the Sony scoring stage and will be released this December on CD.
James finishes work on The Ring
James finishes additional music work on the Dreamworks move The Ring due out in October. This is a very scary movie with a haunting score by Hans Zimmer. The Ring is directed by Gore Verbinski.
James finishes Richard Flowers ESPN documentary
James finishes the score to a documentary for ESPN about Richard Flowers. Flowers was an Olympic track hopeful that tore his hamstring shortly before the tryouts. This project will air this summer on the ESPN Classic channel.
