According to The Hollywood Reporter, The Little Mermaid: Ariel’s Beginning was the top-selling DVD for the week ending August 31. The straight-to-video Disney film held off some stiff competition from the theatrical comedy What Happens in Vegas and the four-disc set of Heroes: Season 2, which finished in second and third on the sales charts, respectively.
One of the Pushing Daisies fan websites has an exclusive interview with Jim about his Emmy-nominated music from the show. Also, last weekend Jim attended the star-studded world premiere for The Little Mermaid: Ariel’s Beginning, held on Catalina Island in Southern California.

Jim has finished recording his score to the DisneyToon Studios film The Little Mermaid: Ariel’s Beginning which will be released later this year. Look for scoring session photos soon! Also, according to Variety, “Pushing Daisies” has done gangbusters on ITV in the United Kingdom, and recently won Best Series at the Reims International TV Festival in France.
Jim begins writing the score for The Little Mermaid: Ariel’s Beginning! Scoring dates will be in Los Angeles starting at the end of March.
